Princeton University’s Office of Engineering Communications published a story about a new theoretical technique for driving down the cost of capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere using a sheet of mineral material to which the gas sticks: New material could lower the cost of carbon capture.

Claire White, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering and the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, leads the research team. The finding was published last month in the journal Nano Letters. V. Ongun Ozcelik, a postdoctoral research associate in civil and environmental engineering was the lead author, and Kai Gong, a graduate student in the same department was a co-author.
