Dr. Charles Li is a senior consultant at Energy and Environmental Economics, Inc., or E3, an energy consulting firm based off of San Francisco. Before he joined E3, he completed his Ph.D. in environmental engineering from Princeton University. His Ph.D. research focuses on how air pollution affects solar PV output and energy systems.

Dr. Li’s current work combines E3’s strengths in electricity planning and building electrification to assess how electrification and decarbonization of electricity contribute to reducing economy-wide emissions. He has led technical analysis on recent building electrification studies in California and New York, as well as recent decarbonization studies in Maryland and Nova Scotia.

He believes that developing clean, low-carbon energy is imperative if the world is to shift towards a sustainable development path.

This talk is part of the David Bradford Energy and Environmental Policy Seminar Series and is co-sponsored by the Center for Policy Research on Energy and the Environment, High Meadows Environmental Institute, and Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment.
