The Department of Chemistry and the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment invite you to attend Princeton University’s second Biennial CO2 Workshop which will continue to explore future directions in CO2 chemistry. This one-day workshop will be held on the university campus on Friday, November 9, 2012. This meeting is jointly sponsored by Princeton University’s Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment and Liquid Light Inc. It will include talks by Prof. T.J. Meyer (Director, University of North Carolina’s Energy Frontier Research Center), Prof. S. Styring (Uppsala University, Professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biomimetics), Prof. Devens Gust (Arizona State University, Professor in Chemistry & Biochemistry), Prof. M. Kanan (Stanford University, Professor of Chemistry), Dr. E. Fujita, (Senior Chemist, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Artificial Photosynthesis Group), Dr. E. Cole (Senior Research Scientist, Liquid Light, Inc.), and Prof. E. Stechel (Arizona State Univerisity, Lightworks). In addition to these speakers, three other distinguished chemists working on CO2 activation and reduction chemistry will be speaking.
The goal of the Workshop is to review current research efforts on the chemistry of CO2, to better define the problem of CO2 redox reactivity, and to continue developing ideas for future directions of research. All participants are invited and encouraged to submit a poster to the workshop. A significant portion of the workshop time will be devoted to these posters and associated informal discussions. We request an abstract from you if you wish to present a poster. Please send your abstract to denised@princeton.edu prior to October 31.
Generous financial support from Liquid Light Inc. allows us to offer this workshop without a registration fee. However, all participants must register for the workshop – http://chemistry.princeton.edu/co2workshop.
