While the artificial intelligence boom is poised to transform how we understand and solve global challenges, its heavy reliance on energy and water has led to concerns about its own impact on the environment. This year’s Annual Meeting will explore how we can harness the power of AI to make rapid progress in global decarbonization efforts and navigate the risks that AI will create for achieving a clean and just energy future.

Cutting carbon emissions from heavy industry will require sustained collaboration and innovation, experts agreed at the eleventh annual E-ffiliates Retreat hosted by the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment.

The eleventh annual Princeton E-ffiliates Partnership Retreat, experts explored the hard-to-abate sectors — including cement, steel, and iron — that form the bedrock of modern infrastructure yet are responsible for over 15% of the world’s carbon emissions.
Tech Talks
E-ffiliates Tech Talks are informal, hour-long, virtual gatherings held quarterly for E-ffiliates members and Princeton faculty. A guest expert is invited to speak briefly about a technology of interest, then we engage in Q+A and open discussion.
