Updated March 31, 2020 – Nominations are now being accepted for the Maeder Graduate Fellowship in Energy and the Environment for the academic year 2020-2021. This fellowship is made possible by the Paul A. Maeder ’75 Fund for Innovation in Energy and the Environment. The deadline for nominations is April 10, 2020.
Faculty are invited to nominate their best post-generals, non-DCE graduate student performing research related to energy and/or the environment as impacted by energy; the student may be enrolled in any Ph.D. program on campus and nominations from departments outside of engineering are also encouraged. The recipient will receive a one-year fellowship to cover tuition and stipend (and may include a summer stipend), to begin summer or fall semester 2020. Nominations should be brief (no more than 2 pages) and include a description of the graduate student’s research focused on energy and/or the environment, their accomplishments to date, and their potential for success. The student’s CV and Princeton transcript should be attached to the nomination document.
Selection of Maeder Fellows is determined by a competitive process; on rare occasions more than one fellow may be selected. Nominations will be assessed on the basis of the student’s potential impact toward enabling solutions to ensure our sustainable energy and environmental future. The recipient will be required to submit a post-fellowship report of their research activities.
Information about the research undertaken by AY2019-20 Maeder Fellow, Weitao Shuai, is available on the Andlinger Center website as a reference. Nominations are due Friday, April 10, 2020 and should be sent to: mselinka@princeton.edu.
Notice of the award will be made by April 24, 2020.
