To commemorate its Centennial anniversary, Lockheed Martin has launched its “Innovate the Future” contest.  Deadline for entries is September 30, 2012.  Participants are invited to share their ideas on how innovation can enable a more secure future for the planet and submit their thoughts on a range of topics facing the world community, including the need for sustainable energy, cyber security, and healthcare.  Up to five ideas will be selected for cash awards and the grand prize winner will receive an incubation contract with the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute at the University of Maryland to help develop the idea.  Information may be found at www.lockheedmartin.com/innovatethefuture-contest .
