The Andlinger Innovation Fund supports faculty research in new areas, encourages interdisciplinary collaboration among Princeton scientists, engineers, and industry, and allows for the purchase of equipment for research related to energy and the environment as it relates to energy. The inaugural round of funding supported four projects, each spearheaded by two faculty members from different disciplines. Subsequent awards were made in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
