The UTSR GTIF Program provides undergraduate- and graduate-level science and engineering students with the opportunity to work over the summer for 10-12 weeks at leading gas turbine industry sponsors.  The 2016 sponsoring companies include Flex Energy, Florida Turbine Technologies, General Electric, Siemens Energy, Solar Turbines, and Southwest Research Institute. Typical work areas at companies are heat transfer, aerodynamics, combustion, thermodynamics, advanced materials and coatings, design, manufacturing, and test and evaluation.
